The two years of safe housing has just let me, well, it’s improved my confidence. I’ve started uni, I’m a better mother and everything has improved - just because I’ve had stable housing for two years. I’m still looking for private accommodation though. I’m finding it really really difficult because I haven’t got any good private rental references and because I’m a young woman, and I’m a single mother and I study… I’m finding a lot of discrimination in the private rental market. I’ve applied for eight private rental flats and have been knocked back solely because I don’t earn enough or I’ve got a child, so yeah, it’s really difficult to find somewhere.
